THE MAYOR
Article IV § 401 of the Town Charter:
Selection and Term
The mayor shall be elected from within the corporate limits of the town at large as hereinafter
provided and shall hold office for a term of two years or until the succeeding mayor takes office. The regular term of the mayor shall expire on the first Monday in June following the election and qualification of his successor.

THE TOWN COUNCIL
Article III § 201 of the Town Charter:
Number, Selection, and Term
The legislative powers of the town are vested in the town council consisting of six (6) council
members who shall be elected as hereinafter provided and who shall hold office for a term of two (2) years or until the succeeding council takes office. The regular terms of council members shall expire on the first Monday in June following the election and qualification of their
successors.
