I'd be interested to know what percentage of the local population makes an effort to shop, and cook, organic. I think the majority of locals are eating the way they always have, organic or not. Personally, I can't afford to feed a family of 5 at Whole Food prices, especially for produce, meat, and seafood. I didn't even bother to compare things like shampoo or laundry detergent, but that sort of thing can really bump up a large family's "food" costs. Would we even be having all these discussions if the Cafritz proposal was for a "Super Aldi"?
